Policies
Health & safety
- All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. Proof of vaccination — or titre testing — is required before the first booking.
- Puppies are welcome from 10 weeks of age when on a vaccination program. New puppies and rescue/shelter dogs should be settled at home for at least two weeks first.
- Dogs that are unwell or injured are not permitted. After recovering from a communicable illness within the past 30 days, a dog needs veterinary clearance to return.
- All dogs must be non-aggressive and not possessive over food or toys. We reserve the right to refuse any dog at any time to keep everyone safe.
- Intact dogs are welcome and are never placed in a group together.
- If your dog needs veterinary care during their stay, we may seek it on your behalf; the owner is responsible for those costs.
Specific vaccination requirements are confirmed with you during the application. Please contact us with any health questions.
Cancellation & deposits
- We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel a booking. With less notice, a one-night charge may apply.
- During peak periods, we ask for 72 hours’ notice. Insufficient notice may result in a full charge.
- Extended stays require a deposit up front.
Your information & privacy
What we collect. Only what we need to care for your dog and manage bookings: your contact details, your dog’s health and behaviour information, and your dog’s vaccination records (photos or PDFs you upload). We do not sell your information.
Where it’s kept. Your information is stored in our booking system, which runs on Supabase — a reputable cloud platform that hosts our database and the files you upload (like vaccine records) on Canadian servers. Supabase hosts the data on our behalf; it is still your personal information and we treat it as such.
Who can see it. Only authorized K9 Stay N Play staff, through a private staff app that requires a personal sign-in. Vaccination paperwork you upload is visible to our staff so we can review eligibility before your dog’s stay — uploading it does not by itself mean your dog has been approved. We share information outside our team only when needed to provide care (for example, giving your vet or an emergency clinic what they need to treat your dog).
Keeping it safe. We take reasonable steps to protect your information — access is limited to staff sign-ins, uploaded files are kept in private storage, and connections are encrypted. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, so we don’t claim otherwise; if you have a concern, please tell us.
Access & deletion. To see what we hold, correct it, or ask us to delete it, email mnmbel77@gmail.com or call us — we’ll help. We keep records only as long as needed to care for your dog and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Terms
Full terms — including our waiver and liability agreement — are part of the new-client application. See the New Clients page.
